Centre for Intercultural Communication (SIK) is a research centre that works locally, nationally and internationally. SIK has expertise in the areas of migration and diversity, development cooperation and conflict resolution. Established in 1991, SIK is now one of Strategic Centres of Research at VID Specialized University.
Researchers at SIK have backgrounds from various disciplines such as sociology, social anthropology, psychology, pedagogy, economics, and business. In addition to offering courses and lectures, we regularly teach and supervise various courses at VID Specialized University, both at BA, MA and PhD levels.
SIK is also an associate partner in the European Master's degree in Migration and Intercultural Relations.
